Book Review: A Leap of Faith by Trisha Ashley

MSometimes in life you've just got to go for it!

"Sappho Jones stopped counting birthdays when she reached thirty but, even with her hazy grip on mathematics, she realizes that she's on the slippery slope to the big four-oh!  With the thought suddenly lodged in her mind that she's a mere cat's whisker away from becoming a single eccentric female living in a country cottage in Wales, she has the urge to do something dramatic before it's too late.

The trouble is, as an adventurous woman of a certain age, Sappho's pretty much been there, done that, got the T-shirt.  In fact, the only thing she hasn't tried is motherhood.  And with sexy potter Nye on hand as a potential daddy - or at least donor - is it time for her to consider the biggest leap of all? It's either that or buy a cat..."

She's done it again folks! This latest novel by Trisha Ashley is funny, down-to-earth, charming and quite simply a joy to read.  I lost count of the amount of times this book made me laugh and smile from beginning to end.

Trisha's characters are honestly so life-like and charming.  All of her novels have such wonderful characters, and this one is no different. From the brilliant Sappho to the gorgeous Nye, Trisha has created such a fantastic dynamic of characters whose interactions made me chuckle and grin.

I absolutely enjoyed every moment reading about the friendship between Sappho, Mu and Miranda, and I love Sappho's modern, feminist outlook.  You go girl!

The main story is one that I think many women can relate to, regardless of age.  From our twenties women are often told about how "their biological clock is ticking", and feel the pressure to settle down and enter into the life of motherhood.

Out on the 25th of August 2016 this novel is laugh-out-loud, brilliant and addictive from start to finish, and I 100% recommend reading it.  5* stars from me!

Till next time,
Naomi x
